'My Daughter, the Fox' by Jackie KayJackie Kay was born in Edinburgh in 1961. Her first collection of poetry, The Adoption Papers (1991), was published in 1991. Her first novel, Trumpet, published in 1998, was awarded the Guardian Fiction Prize. Why Don't You Stop Talking, a collection of short stories, came out in 2002.
